The class of 2014 is finally here. After twelve years of playing around with the same friends and learning from wonderful teachers here at Colegio Menor, the time to graduate has arrived. The 96 seniors are starting to fill out applications for college if they are going to study abroad. Others are preparing to take a year off to relax and get to know the world. With whatever future plan students are making, everyone is trying to give their best effort in school and create moments that in a few years, they will look back on reminisce.
There are going to be a lot of activities this year that include the whole school body, or just students. Every senior year, as we have heard around the lockers and at lunch, is a year to have fun and appreciate the friends you have had over several years. They just want to leave a legacy at school so everyone can remember them as great students. Seniors are also going to host several activities for the school. For example they will organize la “pera” and give away the senior hoodies.
Seniors at this moment are really stressed because the teachers are pushing them to strive to their best before applying for college. For example, before the end of February, every senior has to present an essay to the Ministry of Education as a way to show his or her achievements and knowledge. However, after the first semester is over, it’s going to be easier for them to interact with everybody because the filling out and sending applications and taking exams will be over. Im sure everyone is looking forward to see what these 2014 seniors are preparing for us. Problems? Fun? Awesomeness? Well we´ll just have to wait and see. This is a memorable year for everyone graduating, so make it worthwhile. GOOD LUCK SENIORS, ENJOY!
